Go a field with a good attitude, with respect for the wildlife you hunt and for the forest and fields in which you walk. Immerse yourself in the outdoor experience.  It will cleanse your soul and make you a better person.

The Next Generation

YOUTH HUNTING UP 10%

At press time over 11,000 new apprentice-hunting licenses had been sold in Michigan and Ohio, which recently passed Families a field legislation allowing youth to try hunting under direct supervision of an experienced hunter. The 11,000 newcomers represent a 10–percent increase in young hunters age 6-15 in those two states. Families a field is an initiative of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, The National Wild Turkey Federation and the US Sportsmen’s Alliance and is supported by the N.R.A.

“Make room at your campfire for the next generation"

Put first things first       By Chuck Buzzy

Everyone has priorities. And everyone lives out those priorities, whether they are aware of what they’re doing or not. It’s not enough to say, “My kids are a priority “. If we never find (or make) time in our lives to be with our children, we are kidding ourselves.

We have to face the truth about our current priorities and commit ourselves to the right priorities – those that reflect the constant, love – centered values by which we feel called to live. After all, our priorities determine our goals and long- range plans. They shape the direction of our lives and influence the lives of others, especially our children. When we’re confident about our top priorities, we are compelled to eliminate the things, people, activities and distractions that so readily clutter our lives, making it easier to concentrate on what is truly important. And who are the beneficiaries? Our children. We create beautiful legacies when we consistently give the greatest attention and place the greatest value on the things that matter the most.

Traditions provide each family with a unique legacy. They are a way of life passed on from generation to generation- and unwritten history that gives a family a special way to define itself.
